Jean Hits The Studio Next Month To Record Debut Album
After six months of solid writing, Jean has confirmed that he will be recording his first full length studio album next month. Recording will begin in January 2012 at Audio Suite Studios in Westville and Brent Quinton will be at the helm production and engineering wise. Jean has also confirmed the band lineup who will session on the record. Gareth Gale will be on Drums while Roly Struckmeyer will once again play bass. Roly played bass on Jean’s debut 2008 release, FAWE.
When asked about the new album, Jean candidly explained, “I’m really excited to be jamming with such amazing musicians on my first full-length studio album. Gareth has performed with almost every band under the sun in SA and Roly has literally played at every music venue in Durban since the year 2000.
The album will retain its musical diversity and intensity but will flirt with sexual innuendos, reckless behaviour and will be more confrontational and personal than ever before. The new songs basically just articulate a more rock n roll attitude towards life”
Local release is aimed at June 2012 and international release December of the same year. An extensive marketing and promotional campaign will also follow the release.
Update: Just thought I’d personally let everyone know this whole thing has gone pear shaped. Click here to see why.
